About the product
Osmocote Exact Protect 5-6M is a programmed-release fertiliser for early-spring pottings (January–February) and salt-sensitive crops. With the full rate there is no need to re-fertilise, saving time in busy sales periods.
It is designed for early-spring Calluna pottings, conifers, roses, unrooted cuttings and other sensitive crops. The second coating, DCT, delays the start of release by 4–6 weeks, so nutrients are saved until the plant can absorb them.
Mix it into the potting substrate or dibble it into the plant hole. Dibbling is only recommended for well-rooted liners (P9). Use applicators that do not damage the coating.
Rates are for unfertilised substrates; these are general recommendations — adjust for greenhouses, tunnels and specific climates. Trial a new rate on a small scale first.
Benefits
- Ideal for early-spring pottings and sensitive crops; slightly shorter release than Exact Protect 8-9M
- Better growth thanks to delayed nutrient release
- Saves time and effort during busy sales periods
