Smooth-stalked meadow grass belongs to the group with medium-strong rooting and early heading. The durability of Balin has been proven by years of use in Europe, where it is the most widespread variety of smooth-stalked meadow grass. It is highly resistant to adverse winter conditions. Winter hardiness combined with a rich green winter colour keeps the turf looking good even in winter. Smooth-stalked meadow grass is best suited to mixtures used under heavy wear: football pitches, playgrounds, golf courses. It forms a dense turf with good durability and an attractive appearance.
